Entry: Late afternoon celebration of London 2012 Thursday, October 13, 2005

It was 6 July 2005 when London won the bid to become the host of 2012 Olympic Games. The celebration officially had taken place in Trafalgar Square in the morning but the crowd were still there until evening. I still got a chance to take about 30 minutes journey from my flat by bus and be there to feel the festive joy. The proud of London feeling was in the air all day. Unfortunately, it didn't last longer when the world was shocked by four bom blasts in London's public transportation. This might be the reason I almost forgot these pictures. Enjoy it.

"Thank You" message from Londoners and perhaps also "Sorry" message for Parisians :-)

They were proud of being Londoners by waving the England Flag, Cross of Saint George. TV crews were there all day to broadcast directly from the place.

The crowd was not as much as in the morning. Be There Done That... with a little hope and luck that your picture will be in the tomorrow's papers. Eventually I realized that most of them wanted to be taken pictures by reporters, profesional or amateur ones.

I didn't forget to have a snap photo of Mark Austin, an award-winning ITV presenter, who posed for a small group of fans wailing his name.
